Beautiful apartments just 4 minutes from the Horbergbahn ski lift in Mayrhofen

General description

The Schrofenblick apartments are situated just outside Mayrhofen, in the Burgstall district. The Horbergbahn gondola lift is approximately 1.5 kilometres away, whilst the Penkenbahn departs from the charming centre of Mayrhofen, approximately 2.4 kilometres away. Both lifts take you a good way into the extensive Ski Zillertal 3000 ski area. With its many different slopes, there’s plenty for every skier to enjoy here, and you can discover a different part of the area every day. At the end of the day’s skiing, you can take the Penkenbahn back to the lively centre of Mayrhofen, where you can round off the day in one of the après-ski bars. Would you rather head back to your flat? Then you can take the Horbergbahn back, and if you decide you’d still like a drink, you can! At the Yeti-Bar or Hiata Madl, both at the bottom of the lift.
For experienced winter sports enthusiasts, there’s a sporty way to round off the day if there’s enough snow: you can ski all the way down to the Horbergbahn valley station via the ski route.

Mayrhofen has a typical Austrian charm and is known for its lively après-ski scene. This cosy village has a high street lined with countless shops and restaurant terraces. It really invites you to have a leisurely stroll and enjoy a coffee or a drink. So there’s plenty to do in this village for non-skiers too. You can also enjoy a lovely walk along the Ziller river on the ‘Promenade’, and there’s an indoor swimming pool with a large spa area right in the centre of the village, the ‘Erlebnisbad Mayrhofen’. If you’re looking for a fun and thrilling activity, you can go tobogganing – both during the day and in the evening – on the Gerlosstein toboggan run in Hainzenberg.

The family-run Schrofenblick comprises three different buildings, each offering a range of modern apartments. The Penken and Ahorn buildings are the newest, whilst Horberg is situated on the other side of the (dead-end) road and has a more traditional appearance. However, the apartments in Horberg are also modernly furnished. If you fancy a bit of pampering, you can enjoy a breakfast buffet in the restaurant (in the Penken building) for a fee. Here you can also enjoy a delicious à la carte dinner in the evening – highly recommended! After a day of skiing, it’s wonderful to relax in the wellness area (in the Penken building), which includes various saunas, a steam bath, infrared loungers and a cosy relaxation room. There’s also Wi-Fi in all buildings and parking is available in the car park at the accommodation. The ski bus stops opposite the apartments and takes you to the lift easily in just 3 minutes.
