Stars are awarded based on the following criteria: interior, appearance, square footage, location, state of repair, etc. The number of stars awarded ranges from 1 to 5.

General description

The Schrofenblick apartments are situated just outside Mayrhofen, in the Burgstall district. The Horbergbahn gondola lift is around 1.5 kilometres away, whilst the Penkenbahn departs from the charming centre of Mayrhofen, some 2.4 kilometres away. Both lifts take you a good way into the extensive Ski Zillertal 3000 ski area. With its many different runs, there’s plenty for every skier to enjoy here, and you can discover a different side of the area every day. At the end of the day’s skiing, you can take the Penkenbahn back to the charming centre of Mayrhofen, where you can round off the day in one of the après-ski bars. Would you rather head back to the flat? Then you can take the Horbergbahn back, and if you change your mind and fancy a drink after all, that’s no problem! Head to the Yeti-Bar or Hiata Madl, both at the bottom of the lift. For experienced winter sports enthusiasts, there’s an extra sporting highlight when there’s enough snow: you can ski all the way down to the Horbergbahn valley station via the ski route. The ski bus stops opposite the apartments and takes you straight to the lift.

Mayrhofen has a typical Austrian charm and is known for its lively après-ski scene. In the cosy town centre, you’ll find several atmospheric streets lined with shops, restaurants, bars and other nightlife venues. There are also supermarkets, ski hire shops and ski schools.

Schrofenblick comprises three different buildings, each offering various types of modern apartments. The Penken and Ahorn buildings are the newest, whilst Horberg is situated on the other side of the (dead-end) road and has a more traditional appearance. The apartments in Horberg are also modern in design. You can enjoy a breakfast buffet in the restaurant (in the Penken building) for a fee. After a day of skiing, it’s wonderful to relax in the wellness area (in the Penken building), which includes various saunas, a steam room, infrared loungers and a cosy relaxation room. There is also Wi-Fi in all buildings and parking facilities available at the accommodation.
