General description
(The text below has been automatically translated)
The spacious chalets Oz are ideally located, on a dead end street above the village center of the friendly Oz-en-Oisans, beautiful views over the valley are therefore guaranteed! At the end of the street (max. 75 meters) you will find a short but steep path, which takes you to the gondola "Alpette", which provides excellent access to the vast ski area of Alpe d'Huez.
The center of Oz-en-Oisans, with several bars, restaurants, stores and ski school is about 500 meters away by road. The center can be reached faster by ski.
Chalet Gelinotte is only rented including extensive catering service. This means that the catering staff prepares delicious meals for you and ensures that the chalet is clean and cozy. The catering service includes 7x breakfast, 6 x afternoon snack and 6x three-course dinner (see Additional to book for full description). So you don't have to worry about anything anymore, just enjoy the vast ski area of Oz-en-Oisans!

Spacious living room with a sitting area around the fireplace, television, DVD player, Wii game console and a large dining table for 20 people. Open kitchen with bar, fully equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, 4 electric hobs, oven and microwave. Furthermore, there is a balcony on the southwest, heated ski storage, Wi-Fi internet connection, private sauna and whirlpool for 5 persons.
Eight bedrooms, each with two single beds. Furthermore, there is one bedroom with two single beds and an adjoining small bedroom with bunk beds. Nine bathrooms (all en-suite), of which five with a shower and toilet and four with a bath and toilet. Separate toilet on the first floor.
The catering staff has its own accommodation and therefore does not stay in the chalet.
The staff is fine! The accommodation in itself is good but could use a modernization or refurbishment. We were with 12 people, with more people too few banks or luxury chairs. Then there remain standard kitchen table chairs, not relaxed. Unfortunately, the location is not so convenient. To the elevators is quite a hassle since you have to walk down / on your ski boots and skis over a pretty steep road. Also no ski lockers where you can leave your stuff. Definitely no ski in/out. The ski area is varied and good.

As an overall score a nice 8. This is mainly due to the fantastic care by the hosts on site; super delicious and freshly made meals and snacks, considerate of alleegies and very friendly.

Prima chalet. Only the "blue slope" that you should bring to the elevator is not really a trail, but an adventurous path and is not suitable for beginners. That was the only thing that was a bit unfortunate.

The catering staff is usually young and are English speaking persons who work in the skiresorts during the entire winterseason. They have one day off per week (usually during a weekday). 7x Breakfast (around 8.00 am, of which 1x self-service); with baguettes, coffee, tea, fruit juices and sweet spreads (marmalade, jam and honey).

Coffee and tea are included the whole day. The decision whether or not to purchase a drink arrangement applies to the entire group.
After arrival you will discuss the preferred dinner- and breakfast times. To serve breakfast in time in the morning and to do several other chores, the catering staff has their own key to the chalet.
Specific diet meals can be arranged, but have to be notified at reservation. Other preferences can be discussed in the beginning of the week.
Catering can only be reserved per entire chalet. For kids from 0 to 1 years old there will be no fee, but for them you won't be able to claim meals either. For kids from 2 to 11 years old there will be a discount (at request, ask for details).
