Detached 24-person chalet, in a quiet location near Vaujany

General description

In a beautiful, quiet location, a few kilometers outside Vaujany, stands the spacious chalet Lac Douce. This chalet offers a fantastic unobstructed view of the reservoir Lac du Verney and the surrounding mountains that reach an altitude of over 3000 meters. The chalet is equipped with a Wi-Fi internet connection and a spacious ski storage room. There are plenty of parking spaces at the chalet.

The ski bus stop is just 10 meters from the chalet. This ski bus runs about 2x in the morning and also 2x at the end of the day. If you choose to go by car, you can reach the elevator and slopes in the center of Vaujany in about 10 minutes. This cabin elevator leads directly into the middle of the large ski area of Alpe d'Huez (250 kilometers of slopes!). Ample parking is available at the cabin elevator. In Vaujany you will also find all facilities such as the ski school, supermarket, restaurant and ski rental. Vaujany also has an indoor ice rink and a large swimming pool with slide, children's pool, sauna and hammam. With a valid ski pass (minimum six days), you have free access to the pool and ice rink once.

Chalet Lac Douce is a comfortable chalet where you can have a great stay with a large group. The separate living and dining room make it easy for the group to split up in the evening, with TV watchers and game players both having wonderful space.

In December 2020, a new cabin elevator opened in the nearby village of Allemond. You will find the valley station of this "Eau d'Olle Express" at 4500 meters (about 7 minutes by car) from Chalet Lac Douce. This cabin elevator takes you in just 8 minutes to the ski slopes of the family-friendly Oz-en-Oisans, which is located at 1350 meters altitude. Ski lockers are available for rent at the cabin elevator and there is ample parking.

Chalet Lac Douce is built against the mountain and is spread over four floors. The entrance, living room, dining room and kitchen are at street level, which is the third floor.

Living room with beautiful high ceiling, sitting area with television and a fireplace. Additional dining table in the living room. Separate, spaciously decorated, dining room with large dining table, open bar and television. Large kitchen equipped with all appliances such as five hotplates, extra large oven, American fridge with freezer, microwave, coffee maker, kettle and professional dishwasher. From the living room and dining room you have access to the south-facing balcony, which offers a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and the reservoir. Separate toilet on the living floor.

A small additional living room with kitchenette is located on the lower floor. In this living room there is a bunk bed. From this living room access to a bedroom with two single beds. Bathroom with shower. Separate toilet.

On the second floor there are four bedrooms, each with two single beds. One family room with two single beds and a bunk bed. One 4-person room with two bunk beds. Two bathrooms, one with a shower and one with two showers. Two separate toilets on this floor.

On the fourth (=upper) floor there is one family room with two single beds and a bunk bed. Bathroom with shower, toilet, washing machine and tumble dryer.

The chalet has a free Wi-Fi internet connection.

This is a 24-person chalet that can be used with up to 14 people (additional people for an additional fee).
