Chalet Gypaete is divided into two apartments, a 10-person apartment and a 14-person apartment with outdoor whirlpool. Just 100 meters away from the chalet are the ski elevators Chaudanne and Pâquis, each going in a different direction in the 300 km slopes of the Tignes - Val d'Isère ski area.
The center of Tignes-Le-Lac is about 500 meters from the chalet. Here you will find several ski elevators, sports stores with ski rentals, the ESF ski school and several restaurants and bars. Also located here is the L'Espace Aquatique Le Lagon, where you will find swimming pools and a spa with sauna, hammam and whirlpool. The nearest supermarket is 300 meters from chalet Gypaete. The center can also be reached by ski bus, which leaves approximately every 5 minutes just 50 meters from the chalet.
The chalet has a shared entrance on the first floor, where there is a ski storage room with ski boot dryer. Both apartments are attractively furnished and have a wood-burning stove, Wi-Fi and a balcony or terrace. The apartments can also be rented together for groups of up to 24 people. Please note: there are no stairs in the apartment itself. To go from the ground floor to the first floor and vice versa, you need to use the common stairs in the chalet. The doors to the common corridor/staircase can of course be closed.

In principle, the location is perfect if you want to ski away immediately, but less so if you have children in ski lessons, then it is still quite a long walk (including children and gear) to the (children's) ski lift. Bring a large sled or cart with children. There is a (free) bus station nearby, but the departure time is not exactly indicated - and getting several children ready is a lot of stress anyway.
