Spacious and modern detached chalet directly at the piste in Vallandry

The car-free chaletpark 'Les Chalets de Bellecôte' consists of 25 spacious, very comfortable individual chalets and is situated just above the centre of Vallandry directly on the blue slope of the enormous Les Arcs skiing area (200 km of piste). From all chalets you have a beautiful view on the Mont Blanc, over the valley and on the slopes of Les Coches (skiing area of La Plagne), situated on the across the valley.
The chalets offer a stunning view over the Tarentaise-valley and the slopes of Les Coches (ski area of La Plagne), which is on the opposite mountain. If you take a good look you can even see the famous Mont Blanc. From the Chalets de Bellecôte you can easily reach the centre of Vallandry via the slopes or the road (ca. 400 metres).
As Vallandry has many traditional Savoyard building and wooden chalets, it has a very cosy atmosphere. It offer all facilities for a great holiday! You can find a ski school, day care, ski rental, supermarket, après-ski bar, shops with local specials, a bakery and some restaurants.
There are free public parking spots at the entrance of the chalet park. It's also possible to park in the parking garage of the hotel (requires an additional fee, subject to availability and can only be booked on site). You can't reach the chalet by car, but your luggage is brought to the chalet with a quad.
All chalets have a free Wi-Fi connection.
Chalet Polman Mansion is situated in the highest row of the park so you can easily ski right back all the way to your front door (last few meters or off-piste). In the morning you have to walk a few steps along some other chalets to get to the slopes. Then you can take the short red "Morey" slope to the centre or a small distance via the blue Liaison Grizzly slope that will end at the Grizzly 68 chairlift. In this way you will be avoiding the crowds in the centre.
The entrance is situated in the hall with a separate toilet. There is a cosy living room with comfortable sitting area, satellite television, fireplace and dining area. Completely equipped kitchen with hotplates, fridge, oven, microwave, coffee maker, kettle and dishwasher. The living room offers direct access to the balcony. Ski lockers can be found next to the front door.
On the ground floor there are three bedrooms, of which two with a double bed and one bedroom with two single beds. Two bathrooms with washbasin, of which one with bath and one bathroom with a shower. Separate toilet. Above the living room there is an open mezzanine with two single beds.
Nice chalet, outdated. The mezzanine is not usable when the fireplace is being used as it is getting too hot to sleep. The stairs to the mezzanine is also not very practical and dangerous. Because of this not really for 8 people. Location is nice, but some noise from the hotel below.
Very nice house, with personal characteristics of the owner, which makes it feel more like you borrowed the house than you rented it. The many sheepskins next to the beds and on the couches give the whole an extra warm impression and the sauna is top notch. You can ski from the house (unless you are an absolute beginner). The only points of interest are that the mezzanine with the two beds actually gets too hot when the fire has burned and that for a message you either have to walk quite far, or do it while skiing, but then of course the lift still has to run.
Accommodation looks good and tidy and becomes therefor a good note. There could be things made better such as the comfort (beds, sofa and heating)
A warm welcome, friendly and good help and information
In particular there is little to do in Vallandry. If there juits something to do, you have to climb all the way. There are not many shortcuts to the apartment. Pity it is not accessible by car. For the rest quite cozy chalet with sufficient utensils and other accessories!
A more than fine house! Nice that there are several bedrooms, a large dining table to socialize as a group around it to sit. The luggage transport smoothly arranged. Bread depends morning at the door. We were there with a small child, a stair gate had been useful but that is also the only one. Extremely friendly staff and service.
Cozy chalet on the slopes with a beautiful view. Peima ski area with many opportunities for all levels. We felt right at home in this chalet. Bread service in the morning was perfect. Friendly welcome at the reception.
