What to consider when skiing with children

Taking the kids on a ski holiday involves a lot of considerations. Below is a brief summary of the most important points to think about.

• Arrange ski lessons in advance, especially during busier school holiday periods.
• Ask if there are multilingual ski instructors available; it's easier for the kids if they can speak their own language.
• Choose accommodation within walking distance of the slopes for children, or:
• Check if there is a large parking lot near the ski lifts and ski school.
• Make sure to bring enough food for the first two days to avoid hangry kids!
• Arrange ski equipment in advance: ski clothing, snow boots, helmet, gloves, ski goggles, sunglasses, scarf.
• Handy: a ski jacket with a pocket for the ski pass on the sleeve (with a zipper!).
• Don't forget: sleds!
