Authentic and cosy ski area with a high percentage of snow-certainty
The ski-region of Valloire / Valmeinier is formed by the authentic village Valloire and the vivid Valmeinier. These two villages are separated from one another by the mountain Le Cey du Quart, where the greatest part of the ski-region is located. There are also pistes situated on parts of the La Setaz and Le Cros Crey mountains. The region covers in total over 160 km of slopes. The highest point for the skiers is 2750 meters.
The snow certainty of the area is quite high, because 70% of the pistes are located above the 2000 meters. The area will be very interesting and exciting for beginners and intermediate skiers as there is a great variety in red and blue slopes. For the more experienced skier there is a selection of black slopes and also off-piste possibilities. The snowboarders in the area can be challenged by the available fun-park including a half-pipe and the boarder cross.
Within the area of Valloire/Valmeiner there is a cross-country network of trails covering 21 km and presented for all different abilities. Also hikers can enjoy themselves with the hiking paths around Valmeinier. Activities like off-piste snowshoeing are also offered in this area.
