Are you looking forward to the amazing ski holiday that is finally in sight again? Which week are you going on a ski vacation? Check out the options below and book your ski trip directly online or get advice from one of our travel advisors.
In early December, most ski resorts start buzzing again with the reassuring hum of ski lifts gliding over their cables. Ski resorts open, and there is a slightly tense but also enthusiastic atmosphere among local entrepreneurs who are ready for another beautiful and busy ski season. The first week of Christmas holidays is often also the first week that a large group of ski enthusiasts travel to the Alps, ready to finally strap on their skis again. That one week in the snow is one of the best moments of the year. Which week are you going on a ski vacation?
Which week is best for a 7-day ski trip? We get asked this question sometimes over the phone. As you can imagine, there's no straightforward answer because everyone has different preferences and requirements for their ski holiday. If you're tied to a school holiday, we might recommend going in the first week of the Christmas break, around Easter, or in May. These weeks are often less busy than the second week of the Christmas break or the February/mid-term break.
If you're not restricted by school holidays, the month and the ski resort you choose also matter. February is a busier month for skiing than January. Additionally, a smaller ski resort is generally less crowded throughout the season compared to the larger, more popular ski resorts, especially during school holidays. Do you want to explore your options with the eye of an expert? Feel free to contact us; we’ll be happy to advise you.
Does a week of skiing feel a bit too much for you? A weekend or midweek trip to the snow is also possible. On our website, you mainly book for 7 days of skiing, but there are often other options for shorter or longer ski trips, especially in the low season or during less busy ski weeks. Contact us for more information about the possibilities.
This is another frequently asked question, but unfortunately, it's not easy to answer. If you book a simple apartment in a smaller ski resort or within driving distance instead of right on the slopes, it will be much cheaper than booking a ski-in, ski-out chalet on the slopes in a large and popular ski resort. It all depends on what you want. With us, you can book a ski trip starting from about €300 per person, including a ski pass. Would you like personalized advice that takes your budget into account? Feel free to contact us.
