In France, most ski resorts open in early December. That's when the first lifts start running again and the snow groomers are busy preparing the freshly fallen snow. Most ski enthusiasts head to the French Alps between late December (start of the Christmas holidays) and April. In the high-altitude ski areas, you can still ski well in April.
